Wind turbine jacket foundation with suction buckets

DONG Energy successfully installed the world's first offshore wind turbine foundation based on the Suction Bucket Jacket (SBJ) technology in August 2014. NGI was responsible for geotechnical design, instrumentation, and monitoring system.

Zelazny Most mine tailings dam

To ensure the safe operation of the tailings dam at Zelazny Most, NGI has assisted the mining company KGHM Polska Miedz with advanced stability analyses of the dam structure and associated ground. Various measures to stabilize the dam surface have also been evaluated.

NGI was consultant in engineering geology in connection with the construction of the 6 kilometres railway line from Holmestrand to Nykirke (south west of Oslo), and a railway station in a rock cavern in Holmestrand.
