WP3 - Recommendations

The project will prepare, in addition to the project reports, a draft of guidelines for the con-sideration of the ISO/OGP and API committees and for Eurocode.

Recommendations will be made on which design method should be preferred for design, perhaps as a function of the soil profile, pile dimensions or loads. The recommendation will include a reflection on whether the number of pile design methods in the API and ISO/OGP guidelines should be reduced and, if relevant, under which circumstances each method should be used or not used.

With the compiled results of the analyses, NGI has prepared a draft of recommendations for the consideration of the ISO/OGP and API committees and is in close contact with the German Piling Committee and Eurocode authorities.
